That's a lot of money for a competition hosted in Iran.
How did you manage to collect such a huge amount?
Rayan is supported by the "Ministry of Higher Education" and "Science and Technology Vice-Presidency" of Iran. You can check out "Our Partners" on our website.
Salam is in Azerbaijani :)
Edit: Never mind. Good luck to everyone
It's literally Arabic
Salam is originally Arabic, and it is now used in many other countries as well, including Iran, as a greeting.
Oh... thanks, bro. I didn't know that.
I'm not good at most things that are not connected with programming/cp
You don't need to be.
I do, to know that it's arabic
Then, you should give a thought before saying something unrelated to programming/cp.
Yea, true :(
How can I confirm my ranking? The standings of the selection round is now mingled with virtual participants.
Uncheck show unofficial.
Oh, I forget the round is rated for everyone. Thank you!
Btw, congratulations! See you in Tehran!
I would be thrilled to participate in the competition! It's not only a chance to showcase my skills on an international stage, but also an opportunity to connect with friends from different countries. I have a couple of questions:
Firstly, regarding accommodation, how will it be arranged? If participants are sharing rooms, would it be possible for me to room with a friend who's coming to support me? He's happy to cover his share of the accommodation costs.
Secondly, would it be possible to check in and check out a little earlier or later than the specified dates? There aren't any convenient flights within the given timeframe, and I'm willing to pay for the extra days of accommodation.
Also, how many finalists are expected, and when will they be announced? I'm a little concerned about a potential spike in flight prices. Finally, will the final round be hosted on Codeforces and it's rating?)
The visa will be granted for a period of 14 to 30 days (depending on the applicant’s country) starting from the date of arrival. Therefore, participants are welcome to arrive a few days before the contest or remain in Iran for a few days afterward.
As for accompanying guests, we can only consider very limited cases, specifically when the presence of an accompanying person is deemed necessary. Please contact us at [email protected] with detailed information for consideration.
We expect to host 80+ finalists, with the official list to be announced shortly after registration is complete. The final contest will not be online; however, the contest problems will be published afterward on Codeforces Gym.
Based on the current political relationship between Iran and US, how can US citizens remain safe in Iran if they end up getting selected to compete in person? How will you ensure their return as well?
Salam I have a question I am a little confused after reading this .So, i want know that the contest will happen in Tehran(IRAN) or online
Please solve my confusion I will be very thankfull to you
The contest will be held onsite in Tehran.
Wow, this looks incredible! Thanks a lot for organizing such a huge contest Just one small question: Will the final round problems/editorials be published online for everyone after the onsite event?
Thanks for your kind words!
Yes, the final round problems (and editorials) will be published online on Codeforces Gym after the onsite event, so everyone will be able to try them out.
I was filling out a CF form some months ago. Is that still relevant? Why double the bureaucracy?
Here you say a vague "selected based on rank and geographical diversity". Before it was "the top 60 trusted participants (with a maximum of three from each country)". Does that still apply, including the number of participants? It's better to have clear rules so that nobody can accuse you of filtering people based on e.g. politics or personal relationships.
The previous rule still applies: we invite the top 60 participants. Beyond that, additional invitations are based on rank and geographical diversity.
We asked people to fill out a new form simply because several months have passed since the last one, and we want to confirm who is still interested in participating.
I am from Bangladesh . its look fascinating , can i participate?
If you placed 1-1000, please fill out the form.
I have a question I earned a quota from one of the internal competitions. Since I will be coming from another city to attend, do benefits such as hotel accommodation, etc. apply to me as well, or are they only for international participants?
Hotel accommodations are reserved for international participants. For local attendees not living in Tehran, we will try our best to arrange alternative accommodation.
why did it take a year between the quals and the contest
Our initial plan was to hold the final contest in August 2025; however, due to some difficulties, we have postponed it by few months.
Moreover, in competitions such as ICPC, it is quite common to have a gap of 6–12 months between the qualifiers and the World Finals.
is it anything like rehan institute of hotel management?
Accidentally wrote my rank including Virtual Participants. Do I need to complete registration second time with my actual rank?
Not needed. We will double-check the contest ranks from the standings.
How many finalists will be chosen?
There will be 80+ finalists.
Will this competition be held again next year, or is it intended to be a one-time event?
We try to hold the contest every two years.
Is this registration summary auto-updated?
No, it contains information until the update time (Aug 23).
When and where will the selection results come out
https://codeforces.me/contest/2034/standings
By when results will be announced?
The results are published.
Hi! I'm from Pakistan & just learned about this competition. Is there a way I can still register?
Unfortunately, no.
In the newest form we're supposed to fill out, that we got a link to by email, what's "Resume"? It's mandatory. You shouldn't need a CV from me for anything. Is it ok if I send the full script of Bee Movie there?
Also, how are occupation/position/field of work different? Is it ok to fill in the same thing for all 3?
We are processing visas through a special Science track of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, and a resume is required for this process.
Ok, I'm asking because I don't have one on hand and know what to put in/how much effort is necessary for this, but I'd rather not get visa rejected because I didn't fulfill some unspoken expectations for that arbitrary file I should upload, so I want to make sure. Anything in particular it should contain? Is any file enough? Is name and occupation (just those 2 short lines, same content as in the form) enough? Brief education and employment history (5-10 lines)? Full, detailed education and employment history including what I specifically did and how, hobbies etc? There's a large spectrum of what could be said to constitute a resume and no rigid structure — part of trouble in today's job market — and I don't know how much that Science track expects.
For the visa process, the resume doesn’t need to be overly detailed — a simple 1–2 page document is sufficient. Please include your name, current occupation/position, field of study or work, and a brief overview of your education and relevant experience. No need for hobbies or extensive detail; just the essentials are enough for the Science track requirement.
I am trying to contact the organizers with a question I have — tried sending an email to [email protected] but I am getting a notification that a mail cannot be delivered. Is there another email for that? Thanks.
Hello Arpa,
Thank you very much for selecting me. I truly wish I could participate in this prestigious contest. Unfortunately, my schedule has recently changed, and another important activity will take place at almost the same time. As it is of great significance to me, I cannot be absent from it.
Therefore, I regret to inform you that I will not be able to come to Iran this time. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Hey,
We hope that we can host you soon.
Hello, Thank you for your message and for the invitation. I cannot attend in person this time due to a scheduling conflict. If remote participation is possible I would be glad to join virtually. Please keep me informed of future events.
The contest is full onsite.
Rayan is supported by the "Ministry of Higher Education" and "Science and Technology Vice-Presidency" of Tajikistan. You can check out "Our Partners" on our website.
I LOVE Codeforces
To all those who participated the on-site competetion, As an Iranian, I am really sorry you had to endure that super CRINGE closing ceremony. Sadly, this is the routine on most iranian events that have a governmental sponsor.
Where can we see final standings?
