I know that typing isn't really that big of a part in codeforces skill, but I think typing tests are pretty fun.
I'd appreciate it if you tried the test here and shared your results: https://humanbenchmark.com/tests/typing. These are my results
and I feel like I can code standard algorithms pretty quickly.

Although I think I type much faster than this when I am coding.
that's interesting because I feel like when I'm coding, unless I am copy-pasting things from the internet, my WPM doesn't exceed $$$80$$$, because code has all sorts of characters that are hard to press
Why is this downvoted? Anyways...
I think my typing definitely boosts my rating. Of course typing isn't the core of cp, but it's still a source of friction.
damn broski do you practice typing? cuz I feel like that's a crazy score to get cold.
I had to grind to get to 40wpm in 4th grade with home row form and stuff and then everything after came from just typing a lot. Mostly from building projects, I think
To me the typing speed rating boost is kinda unstable. I type noticeably slower when I am sleepy.
That’s why I only take contests when I slept well LMAO
35 WPM
wpm — 45
This took a lot of tries, I kept on reading ahead only to realise I typed a character wrong, making the entire thing I typed after it incorrect (especially whilst switching between lines) (monkeytype effect).
damn bruh
Mine is 60 WPM
Actually I think I type much faster when I'm coding, because English is not my native language =)))
I'm like 70~80.
English < c++ < 2048 < tetris
send tetr.io acc :D
Just okay. Not that great, not that bad:
https://snipboard.io/r304vM.jpg (109 wpm)
dang I hope that your result $$$+ 1$$$ is the cutoff between "just okay" and "that great" lol
I think my typing speed is faster when typing on another platform (maybe typeracer).
I had an unhealthy obsession with typing fast in 2023: https://monkeytype.com/profile/rewhile
At least I'm able to type out kactl templates relatively quickly :D
I see that you put $$$130+$$$ hours into that site, so I am kinda curious: is there like some rating graph there that shows your improvement vs hours spent?
Yes but only for the last 1000 tests tho
I'm about 65~70. This may be because my native language isn't English.
btw, my long fingernails have reduced accuracy too lol
I have around 120 WPM but on all lowercase and with no punctuation signs.
To the people who type faster than the average (~90+).
Let's say if I give you guys another keyboard of different size (with the intended purpose of giving a different feeling).
How long does it take to adapt to it and get back to your original speed? Has anyone experienced something like this?
Can vary from a couple of hours to a day. (in my case)
One hour at most.
bro how is 90 the line for above average I thought I was fast with 60-70.
Typing speed = 1/(time until end of contest)
Haidora's typing speed is 20-25
58 WPM
If only my monkey brain could think faster
I'm a native english speaker ;-;
It took me 5 attempts to get 46 WPM. How do you even type at > 100 WPM?
same, Feel jealous from these guys
comment more
no doubt worst LGM ever at typing
that is so kevin :rosefalling:
About 60 WPM in English and 80 CPM in Chinese.
Also, 200 WPM when I'm typing my __int128-sized computer password.
.
STILL don't know how to add images but my average is 130-140, and my max is 154
About 42 wpm with both wrists sprained
Mine is 69 WPM still don’t know how to attach images here
Oh okay bro thanks for telling! and u get the image url from tinyurl.com?
No problem, and no, not necessarily. That was just an example. If you want to attach your pfp, for example, you'd right-click it, click "open image in new tab" and use the link there. This would be the link: https://codeforces.com/userpic.codeforces.org/4306337/avatar/1896ad92ddb87c34.jpg
and this would be the image:
oh okay now i get it
uhhh 65 wpm.
i guess for me i should focus more on the thinking part than the typing speed cause if im not able to come up with a solution, what is there for me to type!!
I think if I got lucky (without making typos) I could reach 100~110, but I guess I'm on the slower end lol.
While programming, I am between: 75 — 100 WPM
I did this in one attempt though. Usual typing speed is in the 115-120 range.
