Hey everyone! I’m Ashique, an undergraduate Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) student in 1st year ,,who recently started exploring competitive programming (CP). As a newbie, I’ve faced challenges, made mistakes, and learned valuable lessons. In this blog, I want to share my journey so far, along with some tips that might help other beginners like me. How I Got Started ,,I was always fascinated by problem-solving, but I officially got into CP when I realized how crucial C++ and algorithms are in becoming a skilled software engineer. I began practicing with basic problems on Codeforces , learning C and C++, and understanding how to write efficient code.

Challenges I Faced as a Newbie ::: Starting CP isn’t easy, and I encountered a few roadblocks along the way: 1.Struggling with Problem-Solving – Sometimes, even the easiest problems felt impossible. 2.Time Limit Exceeded (TLE) Issues – Writing inefficient code caused my solutions to fail. 3.Debugging Frustration – Finding small logical errors wasted a lot of time. 4.Consistency – I often lost motivation when I couldn’t solve problems quickly

How I am trying to overcome :: Instead of jumping into coding, I now analyze constraints and possible approaches first. I always try to understand How Other is solving a problem If I got stuck and try to solve the way they solved and adopt that
