Technology advancements alone will not end online contests. Repeated human dishonesty may deteriorate them. Other uses, such as support for problemsetting among others, may improve them.

It's up to people to understand that Competitive Programming is a sport that should be played by respecting rules, and not exploit it as a chance to add another line on their resume.

Has anyone seen the AI Trump ads on youtube recently? The advertisers are using Trump's image to sell their "patriotic" products, which I can't imagine is legal. But anyway, the Trump deepfakes are pretty much the real deal at this point, which is crazy (at least to me). I remember a time when deepfakes were so fake that people used to make fun of them and turn them into memes. That was about $$$1-4$$$ years ago.
