Before downvoting this entry, I would like to ask for all to read this entry and provide some advice.
I have noticed that I have spent quality time writing up blogs (they are deleted now because of downvotes), but people do not seem to appreciate them. I am pretty sure that many other users face this same issue, where they would always get downvotes even when they are trying to help.
May I ask for advice on: -how to write blogs that people would upvote on -how to write good comments
Looking forward to any feedback
Just listen to your heart!
are listening to your heart when you write ugly comments ?

Sorry to be rude here but can people start giving me advice instead of silently downvoting this blog?
To gain contribution, just write funny jokes everywhere.
let me try it
funny jokes everywhere
try harder, man.
What about this :
how about this? ;)
Man, that was good!
wonder if that was a funny joke right there :D
It's too right to be funny.
why would you care about your contribution?
Not to care about contribution, but its sad to see some useful blogs get negative votes , while some nonsense blogs like this one get positive votes
UPD: it has negative votes now
Don't be sad bro , It's got negative as it should be , proving that CF is the right place to participate in.
UPD : I will get down-votes because I've repeated what you've said :p
You want to get contribution or to help other people? Bredor has high contribution because of his cute sense of humor:) Even if he is not helping other with some problems.
I had not read your articles, but if they were downvoted — there should be some reason. They are either not interesting, or not helpful, or bad written, or with some errors. I can't say more precisely — just because i had not read them, as i already mentioned.
So just try to make it better next time:)
Thanks for your advice, I'll take that into account the next time I post blogs.
One day we will find Bredor in contribution top-10. Remember my words.
I am sure that he will be in top-10:) Also I am his huge fan:)
even after he called you vanilla girl? :)
I don't believe it
That's because you have no soul
I don't believe it too
I still don't believe it!
"Bredor has cute sense of humor"
=(
not helping is fine, but he is ridiculing users for no reason!
kokoko
Let me say some thing as I'm [candidate master in low-contribution] , I can't tell you how to get high cont. but I can tell the negative :
^_^
11 — writing stuff in the monospaced font that shouldn't be in it, optionally making it a code block, so that the syntax highlighter can have some fun as well.
Or bad formatting everywhere.
how can u make so inconsistent spelling mistakes?
I did it purposely , as a direct example .
copycat! :D
You already succeed in writing this blog which has been up-voted :D
Recently I see "Before downvoting this entry..." in the first line of almost every entry, it seems everyones afraid of downvoting problem, I think it is getting a big issue.
Sometimes people downvote comment/blog because it has grammer/typing mistakes, and I don't understand them, if someone cann't speak English well you should help hem/her, instead of downvoting. This just decreases writer's selfconfidence and it has benefit for nobody.
p.s I think "Before downvoting this entry..." is a magic phrase that prevents downvoting.
You can't really blame it on the blogger.
It is very depressing to see when people downvote something you say without providing any feedback as to why. This really frustrates a novice blogger.
Communication should be bidirectional, the blogger providing info and the users providing feedback. This would make Codeforces a better community.
Yeah, I agree with you, but I think people afraid of saying their disagreement(even if it is helpful and instructive) in to your face, they just show it by their downvoting, because their name will be unknown to the writer.
sad but true, get higher ratings. I see a high correlation between ratings and the upvotes in CF. red coder almost always get a lot of up votes.
Be Nice, Be Respectful. Genuinely try to help the person. Good unoffensive humour always helps :) . But it is important to genuinely try to help the person. That's it :)
Appreciation takes a lot of time and effort. You should just keep helping others, good luck
Just do what you think is right !! You shouldn't be affected by other's opinions. You are one of a kind and you should respect your decisions and sentiments.
1-Get Red
2-If you are not red, don't reply to a red
red coder always get upvote =))
Don't write hate posts.
