I saw many accounts recently skipped maybe 3 or more times and solved up to E last edu? Is that real ?

As comments point E was leaked early, I found a suspicious account start contest by E! and skipped thrice recently on EPIC, 963, 964, 965. (Already banned).

Also DeepanshuJindal30 and solving with 4 languages --> sabbirsajids45 creator_by_kamroncik cheater who cheated and solved E right after A lol. and the same cheaters code
It became even worse and cheaters solved D and E1 for last contest! It is a cancer spreading on codeforces.

Ye, apparently it couldn't solve A but could solve E according to another one of my friends.
I call bs, I highly doubt any AI can solve E (not because of its difficulty but because its solution is print grundy and find pattern)

I won't call it an algorithm and in that problem, you were supposed to kind of find a way to MEX things quickly (which seems observational to me and kind of non-standard).
But maybe there is enough discussion on the topic (co-prime sort of nim) and AI had access to it. If you could try getting it from an AI like your friend said. Your argument will become more valid.

I wasted an hour talking to ChatGPT, giving it hints. But it still can't find the solution.

A lot of the times you see AI-generated solutions they are just rewritten leaked solutions…
At any rate, E is easily googleable. I also googled it and spent a good 15-20 minutes revising the theorem before AC in virtual. Thus, it's actually hard to discern between cheating (if any) and googling for keys — code inspection should come in for conclusion.
Many cheaters are straight copying and pasting the code. cheatings will significantly reduce if these telegram channels are taken down.

No, I downvoted you because what you are saying is stupid. First of all, what kind of power do you think codeforces has to take down telegram channels? Second, even if it is done somehow, what will stop cheaters from creating new telegram channels? Or maybe moving from telegram to something that can't be taken down, like mailing lists?
can we allow only those users to contest, whose mobile based authentication(via OTP) have been done. This will reduce alternate account creation and less cheaters.
Or may be we can spam intentionally on telegram by creating multiple grps in which we expose wrong solution so that cheaters waste their time.

I don't see how alternate accounts are connected to cheating. I do think it is reasonable to ask for mobile authentication, but I'm not a specialist and it might be bad for some people (depending on country or income).
Some people have already tried to "feed misinformation" to cheaters. I personally wouldn't do that because I'm not bothered by cheaters. To be honest, I don't understand "the war on cheaters". How do cheaters harm you? Do they stop you from enjoying the problems and getting better? I don't see how. OK, they make your rating smaller. But that doesn't really matter, does it? Rating is just a number. Moreover, your comparison with honest participants remains more-or-less untouched, since all the ratings are affected roughly the same. So the only thing that changed and that really matters is "at what level you go from div2 to div1" (and other division borders I guess, I'm too old to know that there are divisions lower than div2). I don't think it's such big of a deal.

Why do you equate downvoting with being hated? As you yourself mentioned, people are just sharing their views here. Downvoting is a way to express disagreement.
These cheaters from India cheat to get jobs which directly takes away jobs from other deserving candidates. This is a good enough and perfectly valid reason to care about it for a lot of people. Btw, there is nothing inherently wrong with doing CP or using cp rating for getting a job. If you disagree, you should blame companies who care about cp ratings for a job/interviews not the people who do it to get a job. Also, A lot of people use rankings to measure their live contest problem solving ability over a period of time. You can't go by score distribution and problem ratings for obvious reasons. If the number of cheaters is not constant(they are not constant!), it is difficult to measure improvement based on rankings.
I am not blaming anyone, but I also do not consider people who do CP for getting a job a part of the community, and I don't see why I should care about their problems.
Volatility in places is much higher than the number of cheaters, so I wouldn't say cheaters significantly affect your ability to track your performance levels through places.

Also, your initial comment is basically you saying you can't understand why people care about cheating in a competition? Well, I can't think of any competition where people don't care about cheating. Caring about cheating is in fact the normal behavior across all competitions, all sports all over the world and nothing special to codeforces or programming contests. I obviously gave you two reasons but there are more and I can give them if you really "can't understand" why people care about cheating in a competition. I am sure there are also LGMs who agree with me on this and they can also give you their own reasons.
I don't like cheaters, I would never knowingly cheat myself, and I would never knowingly help others to cheat. But I don't see how it is beneficial to spend so many resources on trying to combat cheaters.
People who write obnoxious blogs about a single cheater, who create a separate account to write the blog. It must take at least half an hour to write all of that, to take the screenshots and upload them. Also, how do they find the cheaters to write about? Do they just open random submissions looking for evidence of cheating?
I guess my question is: Don't they have anything better to do? If you spend all that energy on improving yourself, maybe you can sooner reach div1 and cheaters won't be an issue for you anymore.
No, it isn't. I get why one would care about cheating. I don't get why one would care enough to write something in the void of the internet, but that's ok, people just love to complain. But I sure as hell don't get why a lot of people would talk about cheating for hours and hours, search for cheaters by hand, propose voluntary brigades to fight cheaters, etc. Again, Don't they have anything better to do?

The first argument was not about "people caring about cheating in a competition", it was about people caring about cheating in a job hunt, and I don't care for people who use CP as a job hunt. The second argument is somewhat reasonable, but I think that the proposed metric was very volatile even without cheaters, so cheaters don't change it that much.
I don't agree that you have properly refuted both of my reasons and I disagree with some other things you have said in your latest comment as well and a part of me wants to write a detailed reply addressing all of your points however I do completely agree with you that instead of wasting time here arguing, I should simply solve more problems and get a better rating. Don't worry, the rating will be updated maybe once time / week. All the round "skipped" will be removed and they got negative delta later.
Ratings have not been rolled back and hence not recalculated

At least as common sense in Codeforces, googling and OEISing isn't cheating (though setters would usually try to prevent such methods to cheese a problem).
The 1st mentioned ID has been skipped so many times that I'm losing track of how many times it's been skipped while trying to count.

cheating has peaked in the current div2s and educational contest even most of the people from my institute are forming groups and using telegram to boost their ratings so that they can get a better placement i don't know if it has a direct correlation or not but ig it will improve once placement season is over.
How are skipped solutions currently punished? Like in the screenshot above srour_ has 3 skipped contests dating back to 8/4 and he is still getting rating from them.
i think rating roll back has to happen and then recalculation he will have 2 unrated, and 2 rated getting minus

It's hilarious how stupid most of the cheaters are. Posts like this might not be of any practical use at all, but they deserve the right to exist just for how entertaining they are.
