Hello everyone!

The National Computing Contest (NCC) will take place on Thursday, May 15 — 21:00 IST. This is the first time asdoc and I have set problems, and I hope not the last :D

The contest will be held on CodeChef.

To be eligible to win prizes, you need to fill in the Registration Form.

Here is the Contest Link.

Gl & hf ! :)

P.S. -

  1. This contest will be somewhat like a Div 2 contest.

  2. Prizes worth Rs. 5k are to be won.

  3. We will be giving prizes only to Indians.

It's not really like a div2 contest, because these have harder problems as well. This is like all div2 B/C-s.

Why is it called National (..), anyway? Is it some kinda official event of your olympiad?

I think your first concern is true for most of contests on CodeChef organized by third parties. Those contests have banners & slogans & some organization behind them but the contests are so-so (purely IMHO).

And I think it's "National" because:

We will be giving prizes only to Indians.

From this problem is statement:

Assume sqrt(2) to be 1.41

That's sounds really cool.

I've seen "assume π to be 3", even.

i'm guessing all inputs are such that is a perfect integer (like the example case).
makes sense, as the ball will always travel at to the coordinate axes.
