is it okay to read the editorial?

I have read in many blogs and also heard that you must have to avoid to read the editorial. when i practice for higher rating problems while practicing above 100 or 200 from my level i often go towards editorial, is it okay to see it when i was not able to come up with solution or just an idea? i have learnt many tricks and tips from editorial and i believe that it is one of the best resource to learn things. Am i right?

If you think you're out of ideas for a significant amount of time, it's okay to read the editorial. The trick lies in how you read the editorial.

My idea is to read the editorial line by line, i.e., read only the first line, and then try to think and come up with ideas. If you're again stuck for some time, read only the next line, and continue this process.

Also, even when you successfully solve a problem, you should read the editorial, since it may contain a better solution, or a cleaner solution, or a new trick you might learn.

I also learnt this from a video or blog by some other red coder, can't remember where, I think it was Errichto or Geothermal. So, credit to them.
