For no reason in particular I'm curious about this, for both spring and fall (or winter and summer) semesters. There seems to be a lot of regional variation.

Here is a Google Form I made.

Please note that I'm interested in specific answers, i.e. not "in the spring" but rather "from April 31 to May 15".

Any period in the year where there are no lectures and no exams, i.e. any period where there is no academic activity for undergraduate students. Winter holidays are one fairly ubiquitious example, but also in both universities I have studied there has been such a time between the exams and the start of the next semester.
