  • Top 5 international performers in the Prelims, subject to plagiarism verification, qualify directly to the Finals

International universities interested in hosting offline prelims can contact us at [email protected].

Stage 2 — Regionals (September 20, 2026)

  • Format: In-person, invigilated contest

  • Prizes worth $10,000 USD+ including cash prizes

For International Students

Starting this edition, candidates from 50 countries eligible under India's e-Visa framework (as listed on the official Embassy portal) as well as China are permitted to participate.

  • Up to 5 international students qualify directly to the Finals via Prelims
  • Up to 5 more may qualify via Regionals (Top 5 in the overall Top 80)
  • A minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 international students will compete onsite in the 4-day Finals in Chennai
  • IICPC covers all accommodation and travel/food reimbursements for international finalists

UNSW Sydney and IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi will host the onsite Preliminary and Regional Rounds for International students. The prelims consist of a 1-hour probability paper and a 1.5-hour probability/quant coding contest. Qualification from these centers follows min(Top 20 students, top 25% at the respective center).

International students whose institutes aren't hosting an offline prelims center can still take part online. While this route doesn't lead to Regionals, these students remain eligible for the top 5 international spots in Prelims globally, and can qualify directly for the Finals on that basis.

IICPC Goes Global

Building on the success of IICPC Global Codefest 2026, which attracted 300+ international participants from 50+ universities, IICPC continues to expand its global community. Five international participants made it all the way to the Finals of that inaugural global edition and remarkably, two of them went on to finish as the top 2 overall.

The competition was won by Yuto yuto1115 Watanabe (National University of Singapore), while Teetat ttamx Thamronglak (Thailand) claimed the runner-up spot, a strong showing that underscores the growing international presence at IICPC competitions.
