Recently I've been talking about such deflation and what downsides it brings to the community. From what I see, the main reason for it is the cheating in the higher divisions. Usually it goes this way: guy gets in top 50 in div 2 or div 1 -----> he steals the rating from top participants -----> he does it 10 more times and accumulates more of their rating -----> he gets skipped in $$$\approx$$$ 2 contests and the rating from those goes back to honest participants -----> but the rating from other 10 gets completely annihilated. It basically goes into nowhere and there's no way for any person to get it back. But, I propose this: after account gets banned, recalculate the rating for all the contests it took part in. First of all, the owner violated the rules and thus deserve such punishment. Second of all, no one can access such acc anymore or see any information about it, so it basically becomes useless. Third of all, it will enable for all the rating the cheater stole return to its rightfull owners. You might wanna argue, that it could take quite a lot of time to do so, but I do think it can be safely incorporated into rollback and will take a day at max. Besides, most of the banned accs are freashly created and didn't take part in too many contests.

Hey guys, I wanted to write a post, cause I noticed something interesting. In the early 2025 there were $$$\approx$$$ 60 lgms and top 10 rated users started with the rating of 3400+. Nowadays, there are only 30 lgms and the 10th place has a rating of 3200+, which is almost 200 points down, compared to what was almost 2 years ago. Under normal circumstances, as one would expect, the rating of the top rated users should go up, as well as the number of lgms. Furthermore, we could observe such trend throughout the entire history of codeforces. However, the modern reality appears to be completely opposite. What do you believe is the reason for this deflation?

Final blog in the trilogy of my blogs, where I humbly ask cf moderators to update recent problems' ratings — please, guys, do this. Also I'd like to urge the community to take matter in their own hands, whenever they deem necessary.
