Hey everyone!
I wanted to share a small project I've been working on called Blitzforces.
The idea came from a pretty common situation: you want to compete with a friend on Codeforces, but then you have to decide which problems to solve, set a timer, keep track of who solved what, and manually compare the results.
I thought — why not make a simple platform for this?
What is Blitzforces?
Blitzforces lets you create a private room and have a short competitive programming duel with your friends.
The basic flow is:
Create a room → Invite friends → Start the duel → Solve problems → Compare scores
Currently, the platform includes:
- Private rooms
- Time-limited duels
- Live scoring
- Leaderboards
- User profiles
- Basic authentication
Most of my competitive programming practice has been individual.
But sometimes it's much more fun when you can tell a friend:
"Let's solve 3 problems in 20 minutes. Loser buys coffee ☕."
I wanted to make that kind of competition take just a few seconds to set up.
Blitzforces is still evolving, and I'm constantly making changes to improve the experience.
I'd especially like feedback from people who actually do competitive programming:
- Does the room/duel flow make sense?
- Does the scoring system feel fair?
- Would you actually use something like this with your friends?
- What features would make it more useful?
I'm particularly interested in hearing about anything that feels confusing, unnecessary, or could be improved. Honest feedback is much more useful to me than simply saying "nice project."
