We note that Adam Xu from Hong Kong reached the Au cutoff line on IOI Day 1, and his NOI score is identical to that of another Chinese contestant, Lü Mingxu (557/705). This demonstrates that many strong high-school competitors from China—such as Wang Suyi (wsy_I)—and even exceptionally talented junior high school students (e.g., Lü) are fully capable of achieving IOI Au, and then some.
