The ratings can be kept separate like AtCoder keeps 2 different ratings for algorithm and heuristic. Not sure about different languages. |

If DDOS attack continues, can AtCoder and Codeforces platforms be merged together? Here are the advantages I can think off:- 1) More Servers. When the platforms merge, more servers will be able to handle the contest and DDOS attack can be less severe. 2) Better Preventive Measures. Preventive measures of both the platforms can be combined to make the merged platform more durable against these attacks. 3) Convenient. One platform, much easier for everyone to communicate and synchronize. Edit: Imagine downvoting because you didn't like the idea. Could have simply mentioned the flaws in the idea and as a community we can find a solution for the DDOS attacks. But that requires effort, so why not downvote the unrated account simply. |
