ok so i know it sounds like a really stupid question and that i should just upsolve and learn from my mistakes..

but how? how do i learn from absolutely idiotic mistakes from problems that i should have definitely been able to get through, and how do i stop this from happening in contests again?

also, how do i deal with problems that i have no idea on how to even approach? like for C, i've done a bunch of standard tree stuff on usaco, but i had no idea what to do after figuring out that an edge is useless if it doesn't cross the 1->n path, and how to calculate whether to keep the edge or not when it does.

honestly just a bit of a rant i'm kinda salty i gave up on B after a silly mistake and then proceeded to fail at C miserably for an hour...

so i'm in yr11 and doing BIO at the end of this year, and i'm really really struggling on written questions. like, i can obviously get the ones which are very basic observation or just substitution into my program, but it's really annoying because even though the programming tasks are easy, i still lose 20 or so marks which will hurt my position for going into round 2.

i was wondering if anyone who's done it before has any advice or resources to help?? thanks

hello guys,

i'm currently writing a dissertation on cp for a qualification i'm doing, and i need YOU to complete a study.

this is a very very small qualitative study, examining responses of competitive programmers to ambiguous scenarios and situations.

it only has 2 problems, and will take only 15 minutes, so i would really really appreciate if you could do it.

download 'CP Study Template' from this folder and follow the instructions in there, then submit here

thank you very much for reading, even n=5-10 would make a huge difference and give me a bunch to write about!!
