Why unchecking the "show unofficial" checkbox doesn't filter out the unofficial participants (i.e. Participants with rating >=2100).
Even if it's intended this way only, it's a bit uneasy, should be changed.

AFAIK, that's because in Educational Rounds, everyone (including contestants with rating >= 2100) is an official participant. Though this is the case, the contest is still only rated for Div 2 contestants.
This is intended. Div 1 participants are still official participants for edu rounds. However, it will filter out people doing virtual participation. After the contest has ended (including the open hacking phase), there should be a drop down menu, which allows you to select the division of participants you want to include on the leaderboard.
I see, but why there is need to do this distribution differently. I mean, regular div 2 distribution seems perfect to me.
It's uneasy if i can't see the standing among the people for whom it's rated.
