Everyone knows the main reason we solve these programming problems every day is because we want to solve the big question — What is the meaning of life?

There is a well known book which unexpectedly answers this question with a number. That number is none other than 42. However, nobody knows what the question actually was, only the answer the computer gave. I am writing this blog to share my idea on this topic, which firstly states that 42 is just a hint to the real answer, which is, as you might have guessed, six seven.

The first reason I have for this is the simple equation 42 = 6 * 7. I believe the computer used extremely complex calculations to predict the kid saying "six seven" and thought it meant 6(7) = 42. These calculations needed very much time and that's why it took 7.5 million years.

Another reason is hidden in old Codeforces Rounds. If we look at the person who got 67th place on Codeforces Beta Round 42, we can see that their maximum title is candidate master and they achieved that title in Codeforces Round 167. If we look at the person that got 42nd place on Codeforces Beta Round 67, we can see that they have a 92 in their name. The sum off all of its divisors smaller than itself is 76, which is the reverse of 67. Another fun thing about 92 is that the average of all of its divisors is 28, which is a perfect number.

The third thing we should look at is the time when the 67 meme became popular. It was 2025, and exactly 42 years after it is 2067, which could also be a reason that 42 was a hint to 67. Also, the second number that became popular like 67 is 41. The fact that 41 appeared so close to 42 could've meant that 42 and 67 are connected, i. e. 67 is the meaning of life. A fun equation which I don't think is well-known is 41 = 67 - 6 - 7 - 6 - 7, which gives an even stronger connection between 41 and 67.

Those are all my reasons for why 67 is the actual answer to the question of life. Today I saw a group of around 50 kids that are 6-7 years old and they were all shouting "Six seven!", and that made me write this blog. Who knows? Maybe they are trying to tell us something.
