Yet another cheater in CF R 1118

Hello Codeforces! (this is how they write CF blog intros, right?)

I'm not really into catching cheaters in CF, I mostly prefer focusing solely on myself, but this participant (who ranked #1 in Iran btw) caught my eye

Her handle is MinaNiazizadeh

I don't know her personally, but Mina Niazizadeh sounds a lot like a Persian full name, so I'm assuming her name is Mina

Her first rated contest was Codeforces Round 1118 (Div.2), and here's some submission patterns:

  • WA1 spams on literally every problem

  • 388783769 : if __name__ == "__main__" is sus

Compilation errors on C:

  • 388815219 : Python submitted as C++ (not direct evidence of cheating)

  • 388828902 : Submitted with the three backticks LLMs use to format code blocks

I also saw a WA1 on C (388830966) after AC for some reason

She also participated in the recent ICPC challenge, but I saw no evidence of cheating there

So that's what I saw. MikeMirzayanov KAN please take a look at this matter

Almost all of the issues you pointed out do not necessarily mean the user is cheating.

English and persian comment mixup

Those comments don't give me the impression of typical AI-generated comments. Those usually are very verbose and frequent. I believe in more complex problems using comments is a good idea to remember what certain lines do in case you need to debug.

Could just be a style preference

WA1 on almost every problem

Pretty self explanatory

Python submitted as C++

As you said yourself, this has nothing to do with cheating. There's no need to add it to the list.

The only one that is for sure a red flag is the submission with the three backticks. It is used in MD to define a code block and it is the exact structures that ChatGPT and Gemini use. I just tried copying to clipboard a sample code generated by ChatGPT and the three backticks have been added to my clipboard too.

Still, this does not mean the user is cheating for sure but is surely something to keep in mind.
