I've been solving a lot of square-root related problems recently and it seems that a lot of times as a hint I check the tags to see if my solution is in the right direction. I'm thinking it would be beneficial to add a tag that indicates a problem requires square root, since there isn't any other clear indication of such a thing.

Yes! I definitely think sqrt is a key aspect to many problems, and it feels incongruous without a dedicated tag.
