Hey! I'm new to Code Forces and I saw a user, RealRainbow_sjy with negative rating? I have a couple question on how this is achievable and if I'm close to reaching that point (hopefully not)

Well it seems during the last edu round solving 0 problems gives you a perf of -32.

Technically, your performance should probably be negative infinity if you get last place (since even if your rating is like -4000 (inverse tourist lmao), you should still have like $$$10^{-100}$$$ chance to not get last. I'm guessing the exact number being -32 is likely a byproduct of how ties are calculated in the rating (I'm not sure) and/or rounding error, since rating is an exponential scale.

But to answer your question I think you are fine lol you'd have to solve no problems on almost every contest to get that low of a performance

would it be theoretically better to submit 1 problem with many resubmissions and WAs then do a lot of unsuccessful hack to get negative score guaranteeing lowerf perf than scoring 0?

In div2, yes. (Solve A with lots of WAs for 150 points then submit 4 failed hacks) However I'm not sure how much of a difference it will give, it all depends on how CF handles your placement if there is a tie

Dont worry bro, to get negative rating you must want to get negative rating, they do it purposely
